Is there free software to measure a property from satellite?+
Yes. AboveYard's quoting tool is free with unlimited measurements, and its public lawn size, driveway and fence length calculators work without an account. Google Earth can also measure areas, but it doesn't turn them into a quote.
Can I measure fence length from satellite imagery?+
Yes, if the fence line is visible. Trace it as a line and read the length in feet; count gates and corners separately because they are priced differently.
Is AboveYard free?+
Yes. AboveYard is free to use with unlimited measurements and quotes. There is no paid plan, no per-search fee and no credit card.
What doesn't AboveYard do?+
It doesn't do scheduling, invoicing, payments, AI auto-measurement or a website quote widget. It measures, prices and gets the quote signed, and works alongside whatever CRM you already use.
How accurate are satellite measurements?+
As accurate as the outline you trace on the imagery. Flat surfaces like lawns, driveways, patios and roof footprints measure well. Trees, shadows and older imagery can hide edges, so every quote carries an on-site confirmation note by default.
