Every lawn quote starts with one number: square feet of turf. Get it from satellite and you can price a mowing or fertilization job while the customer is still on the phone. Get it wrong and you either lose the bid or mow at a loss all season.
There are now a lot of tools that measure lawns from aerial imagery, and they're priced in very different ways: per search, per acre, per user, or flat. This guide compares eight of them using only each vendor's own pages, fetched October 16, 2026.
How these tools differ
Before the list, four things that separate them in practice:
- Manual vs. AI measuring. Some tools auto-detect turf from an address. Others have you trace the polygon. AI saves clicks; tracing gives you control on odd lots.
- How you pay for measurements. Per-search, per-acre credits, or unlimited. This matters more than the base price if you quote a lot.
- Imagery. Resolution and capture date decide whether you can see the bed edges. Some vendors name their source; some don't.
- What happens after measuring. A number alone, a quote the customer can approve, or a full CRM with scheduling and billing.

The tools
Deep Lawn
Deep Lawn is the automation pick. Its measurements page says you type an address and it returns lawn, lot, building footprint, driveway and walkway measurements, using in-house models. It lists 6 cm resolution and leaf-off historical imagery for heavy tree cover. You can still add, cut or adjust polygons.
On the pricing page, HD plans run $120/month (40 searches) to $1,500/month (800 searches). Each quoted property is one search, and extras cost $1.50 to $2.50.
Strength: fastest path from address to price, plus an online storefront. Best for: companies converting website traffic.
QuoteIQ MapMeasure Pro
MapMeasure Pro lives inside QuoteIQ. You trace on Google's satellite layer, group areas (front lawn, side yard, back lawn), and save the total to the estimate. An imagery timeline lets you measure on an older, clearer photo. Property lines and AI AutoMeasure use IQ Credits; AutoMeasure is 100 credits per surface.
Per the pricing page, MapMeasure starts on Beginner at $99.99/month for two users.
Strength: measurement flows straight into a full CRM. Best for: owners who want one app.
SiteRecon
SiteRecon is aimed at commercial estimators. The pricing page lists Scout at $39/month (one user, $20 in credits), then Growth at $250, Teams at $400 and Partner at $500, each with $200 in monthly credits. Credits cost $1 per acre, or $2 for multi-service. Growth and up add done-for-you takeoffs.
Strength: multi-layer mapping on large sites. Best for: maintenance contractors bidding commercial properties by the acre.
PropertyIntel (formerly Go iLawn)
The Go iLawn pricing link now redirects to PropertyIntel from Aspire. The PropertyIntel page lists ProMaps AI detection, manual drawing, PDF takeoffs, done-for-you measuring, and two aerial imagery sources at two-inch resolution, with satellite for rural areas. Plans are Essential (one user, up to 10 properties a month), Advanced and Enterprise. Prices aren't listed.
Strength: enterprise workflow and Aspire integration. Best for: large landscape firms.
LawnPro
LawnPro's estimates page says its satellite area calculator is "included on every plan." You click corners on aerial imagery and subtract buildings or driveways. AI Measurements is a pay-per-use add-on. The pricing page runs from a free Solo plan to $249/month. Customers approve estimates with a click; LawnPro doesn't collect e-signatures.
Strength: measuring included with a full lawn CRM at a low price. Best for: budget-minded lawn businesses.
MeasureLawn Pro
MeasureLawn Pro puts a "Get an Instant Quote" button on your site. The homeowner outlines the lawn on satellite and sees a price from your rate per 1,000 sq ft, and you get the lead with the drawing. Silver is $39/month and Gold $79/month with unlimited measurements (fair use). It also has a quote builder with an accept link. It doesn't do scheduling or invoicing. The homeowner version at measurelawn.com is free.
Strength: low-cost website quoting. Best for: small lawn companies with a website.
SatQuote
SatQuote's homepage lists high-resolution Nearmap imagery, freehand, point and shape tools, AI-enhanced measuring, lot lines and owner info. The pricing page shows Map Basic at $22.00, Map Pro at $55.00 and Map Ultra at $220.00 with 500 to 10,000 credits; the billing period isn't stated in the page text.
Strength: design tools and mapped proposals. Best for: landscapers who sell installs as well as maintenance.
AboveYard
AboveYard is our tool, so weigh this accordingly. You trace the lawn on Esri satellite imagery, price it from your own rate sheet (per 1,000 sq ft, per sq ft, per linear foot or flat, with minimums), and send a quote page with optional add-ons and a typed e-signature. You get emails when it's opened and approved. It's a flat $49/month after launch with unlimited users and measurements, and free during early access.
It doesn't do AI auto-measurement, scheduling, invoicing, payments or a website widget yet. Best for: small operators who want flat pricing and unlimited measuring.
What measuring actually costs at your volume
Base price is misleading. Here's a rough monthly cost at 60 residential quotes, using list prices:
- Deep Lawn Launch: $120 + 20 extra searches × $2.50 = $170
- SiteRecon Scout: $39 with $20 in credits at $1/acre, so 60 lawns averaging a third of an acre or less stay roughly within the allowance
- QuoteIQ Beginner: $99.99 for manual tracing; AI AutoMeasure draws on your IQ Credits
- MeasureLawn Pro Silver, LawnPro paid plans, AboveYard: flat subscription, no per-measurement charge
Double the volume and the gap widens for metered tools. Halve it and metered tools can be the cheaper choice.
How to test before you buy
Pick five lawns you've already measured with a wheel, including one with heavy trees and one corner lot. Run them through each trial. Compare the numbers and the time it took. If you want to try tracing first, use the free lawn size calculator and our guide to measuring a lawn from satellite. When you're ready to send quotes, AboveYard signup is free during early access.

- Which lawn measuring tools measure automatically with AI?
- Deep Lawn auto-measures from an address. SiteRecon lists AI instant measurements, PropertyIntel has ProMaps AI, SatQuote lists AI-powered measurements, QuoteIQ's AI AutoMeasure costs 100 IQ Credits per surface, and LawnPro sells AI Measurements as a pay-per-use add-on.
- How accurate is satellite lawn measurement?
