Pressure Washing Estimate Template: What to Include and Copy-Paste Text
What a professional pressure washing estimate includes, a copy-paste template, the terms that protect you, add-ons, e-signature, and when to follow up.

A pressure washing estimate does three jobs: it tells the customer exactly what they are buying, it protects you when the siding turns out to be oxidized, and it gives the customer a button to press. Below: what goes in one, a paste-ready template, the terms worth keeping, and when to follow up.
What a professional pressure washing estimate contains
Jobber's quoting guidance lists the non-negotiables: your business name and contact details, the client's name and address, "a unique quote number and issue date," an itemized list of services with individual costs, taxes and discounts, your terms, an expiration date, and the total Jobber.
For pressure washing specifically, Jobber's industry template adds property type and square footage, "optional line items for added services," a description of "anything that specifically won't be included," and "space for the client's signature" Jobber. Housecall Pro's contract guide adds scope with "clear exclusions," materials and equipment, client responsibilities such as property access and keeping pets away, warranty and liability language, and termination terms Housecall Pro.
Boiled down:
| Section | Why it is there |
|---|---|
| Header: your business, license and insurance, estimate number, date, expiration | Looks professional; starts the clock |
| Customer and service address | Prevents the wrong-house problem on multi-property customers |
| Line items by surface with measured area | The customer sees what they are paying for and you can defend the number |
| Optional add-ons with prices | Upsells without a phone call |
| Exclusions | Kills "I thought that was included" |
| Terms | Water access, pre-existing damage, oxidation, payment |
| Total and approval | One button or one signature |
The single biggest upgrade most owner-operators can make is putting the measured square footage on each line. "Driveway: 720 sq ft" reads as expertise. "Driveway wash" reads as a guess.

Terms worth keeping, and why
Water and power access. You are using their spigot. If the house is on a well with low pressure, or the spigot is dead, your day changes. Say they provide water and power, and ask about the well before you arrive.
Pre-existing damage. Soft washing finds problems: loose J-channel, failed window seals that fog, cracks that were hidden under algae. Housecall Pro's guidance is to spell out liability and exclusions in writing Housecall Pro. The clause does not let you off the hook for damage you cause; it establishes that revealing a problem is not causing it. Take photos before you start.
Oxidation disclaimer. This is the one that saves you a bad review. Chalky oxidation on vinyl and painted aluminum is already there; the wash makes the clean sections contrast with it. Contractors on the Pressure Washing Resource forum generally avoid oxidation removal altogether and tell customers up front that "the chemicals to remove it are too expensive and that it isn't a permanent solution" Pressure Washing Resource. Put that on the estimate before the job, not in an argument after.
Scope and exclusions. Housecall Pro recommends listing "exactly which surfaces you'll clean" and "clear exclusions" Housecall Pro. The roof is the classic one. If the house wash does not include the roof, say so.
Subject to on-site confirmation. If you quoted from satellite measurements and photos, say that, and say that any change gets approved by the customer before work starts. That sentence is what makes remote quoting safe.
Expiration. Jobber's guidance: "Most service businesses set quotes to expire 30 days after being issued," shortening to 14–21 days when material costs swing Jobber. The date is also your excuse to follow up.
Deposit and payment. Deposits make sense for high-value jobs, new clients, and multi-visit work, typically "25–50% of the total job value" Jobber. For a routine house wash, payment on completion is standard; just name the methods.
Cancellation. Housecall Pro's template includes "the conditions under which either party can cancel, notice requirements, and any cancellation fees" Housecall Pro.
Optional add-ons that earn their line
Optional line items let clients "choose between product options that suit their needs and budget" Jobber. On a pressure washing estimate they also do the upselling for you. Published pricing for the common ones:
| Add-on | Published range |
|---|---|
| Gutter exterior brightening | $1–$3 per linear ft Housecall Pro |
| Downspout flush | $25–$75 per downspout Housecall Pro |
| Sidewalk added to driveway | additional $50–$75 Fixr |
| Driveway sealing | $0.88–$2.10 per sq ft Fixr |
| Roof moss treatment | $150–$250 Fixr |
| Window cleaning | $1 a pane as its own line Pressure Washing Resource |
Price add-ons from your rate sheet, not from these tables; the tables are a sanity check. Put a checkbox next to each so the customer can opt in without texting you.
E-signature and online approval
A signature on the terms is what turns an estimate into an agreement. Online approval is how customers actually do it now. In Jobber's client hub, for example, a customer can approve by drawing or typing a signature, and the business can choose whether to "Require client signatures" or let a tap on Approve stand on its own Jobber. When a deposit is set, the button becomes "Approve and Pay Deposit" Jobber.
Whatever tool you use, require the signature when the terms matter: oxidation, pre-existing damage, and subject-to-confirmation pricing.
Follow-up timing
Jobber's data says quoting speed and persistence pay. In its 2026 trends report, "69% of pros report a win rate of more than 50%," and "over 55% expect a response within the hour" from the customer side Jobber. Send the estimate the same day you get the request.
Then follow a schedule instead of a feeling:
- First follow-up: 2–3 days after sending. Jobber's guidance is that "the best time to follow up on a quote is 2-3 days after the initial email" Jobber; its template guide says within two days Jobber.
- Second follow-up: one week after the original quote Jobber.
- Final follow-up: 24–48 hours before the estimate expires Jobber. This is why the expiration date is on the template.
- Send between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM on weekdays Jobber, when people clear their inbox.
After the second unanswered follow-up, the same guidance says to move on Jobber.
Generate it instead of typing it
The template above works in a text message. It works better when the square footage is measured, the prices come from your rate sheet, and the customer gets a link to approve on their phone. That is what AboveYard does: measure the property from satellite imagery, price it from your rates, and send a quote the customer approves online. It is $49 a month, free during early access, and you can start here.

Frequently asked questions
- What should a pressure washing estimate include?
- Your business details, the customer and property address, a unique estimate number and date, each surface as its own line with measured square footage and price, optional add-ons, exclusions, terms, an expiration date, the total, and a place to approve or sign.
- How long should a pressure washing estimate be valid?
- Jobber's guidance is that most service businesses set quotes to expire 30 days after issue, shortening to 14 to 21 days when material costs are volatile. Put the date on the estimate; it gives your follow-up a reason.
- Should I take a deposit on a pressure washing job?
- For large or multi-visit jobs and new customers, yes. Published guidance puts typical deposits at 25 to 50 percent of the job. For a routine house wash most operators collect on completion.
- Do I need an oxidation disclaimer on the estimate?
- Yes if you wash vinyl or painted aluminum. Washing can reveal chalky oxidation that was already there, and customers will assume you caused it. State that oxidation is pre-existing, is not removed by a standard wash, and is quoted separately.
- When should I follow up on a pressure washing estimate?
- Jobber recommends a first follow-up within two to three days, a second around one week after sending, and a final one 24 to 48 hours before the estimate expires, sent on a weekday morning.
